Clinical and Technical Assurance Sprint 5 Documentation Pack
Purpose
The purpose of this pack is to provide guidance documentation for stakeholders involved in the UK Core Sprint 5 Clinical and Technical Assurance (C&TA) process.
The audiences for this documentation are internal NHS Digital programmes, external stakeholders and implementation sites using FHIR specifications. It is assumed that the reader has a basic understanding of HL7 FHIR (R4 version).
Pack Structure
This pack contains the guidance and reference material required to participate in the Sprint 5 of C&TA. The content of the UK Core to be reviewed is contained in the UK Core Implementation Guide 0.5.0 - STU1 (Draft). Items are indexed by C&TA Sprints and the scope of this sprint is items marked Sprint 5.
Background
This documentation is released for Sprint 5 of the FHIR clinical and technical assurance process. This sprint involves creating a review pack for external consultation, including a first draft of mapping by the UK Core Development team, which is published to the external community for a review period of 15 working days. Documentation is available online for the Clinical and Technical Assurance process. This process is a replacement for the curation process used for the FHIR STU3 CareConnect profiles. The documentation will give background information to allow the reader to take part in the C&TA process.
