This subset contains concepts that represent a health condition sign symptom event situation with explicit context or procedure for which a medication is or was prescribed to manage improve treat or prevent.. This is a broad data exchange subset that is intended to support semantic interoperability and conformance testing. It is recommended that jurisdictions define and implement more specific clinically curated subsets that contain a portion of these concepts for data capture at the point of care for their specific use case. This subset was defined using the intensional definition of ^ 45941000087104 |Diagnoses results of a clinical observation assessment of judgment normal and abnormal clinical states reference set (foundation metadata concept)| or 272379006 |Event (event)| or 243796009 |Situation with explicit context (situation)| or ^ 45911000087100 |Activities performed in the provision of health care reference set (foundation metadata concept)| against the substrate SNOMED CT Canadian Edition. This subset contains all concepts represented in the [Licensed Natural Health Products Database](https www.canada.ca en health-canada services drugs-health-products natural-non-prescription applications-submissions product-licensing licensed-natural-health-products-database.html). The Licensed Natural Health Products Database contains information about natural health products that have been issued a product license by Health Canada. This informative value set includes Natural Product Number (NPN) and Homeopathic Medicine Number (DIN-HM). NPN is an eight (8) digit numerical code assigned to each natural health product approved to be marketed under the Natural Health Products Regulations. A DIN-HM is an eight (8) digit numerical code assigned to each homeopathic medicine approved to be marketed under the Natural Health Products Regulations. This is a broad data exchange subset that is intended to support semantic interoperability and conformance testing. The [pCLOCD](https infocentral.infoway-inforoute.ca en standards canadian pclocd-loinc) code system draws from the pan-Canadian LOINC Observation Code Database (pCLOCD) which is the Canadian version of the LOINC(tm) database. It was created using the LOINC(tm) records and attributes that were constrained for Canadian use and supplemented to specifically meet Canadian requirements. It contains the core LOINC(tm) attributes as required by Regenstrief copyright rules. The LOINC(tm) Component has been customized to meet Canadian requirements and is displayed as the pan Canadian Component Name. This component name is the basis for the pan Canadian Display Name. Core attributes include both English and Canadian French. This resource is a stub value set intended to point implementers towards the use of pCLOCD content while efforts move forward with the pan-Canadian Health Data Content Framework to propose harmonized terminology and potentially further constrained valueSets for specific contexts; in the meantime the contents of this code system can be downloaded or viewed via the [PCLOCD page](https fhir.infoway-inforoute.ca CodeSystem pCLOCD ) on the[Terminology Server](https terminologystandardsservice.ca fhir).
